About Olkhon islandGeographical position - the south of Eastern Siberia, breadth of Moscow. The central part of lake Baikal (350 km from Irkutsk). The biggest island on Baikal, length of 71,7 km, width of 15 km, the area 730 sq. km. It is located near to the greatest mark of depth of Baikal (1637 m) Population - 1,5 thousand people, the most part of the population lives in Huzhir settlement.
